- Model World Language Program in Japanese/Spanish - Recognized by the state as a model program, Garden City provides students the chance to become proficient in Japanese or Spanish if they study language elementary through senior high.
- Student Council and National Junior Honor Society provide special leadership opportunities.
- Peer Tutoring: National Honor Society members are available for tutoring Tuesdays and Thursdays, Room 402, 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. Transportation is provided.
- Wild Science Club - This club meets monthly after school and studies ecology, or the relationship of living things with their environment.
