To the Garden City High School Seniors and Parents:

COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY and VOCATIONAL APPLICATIONS
If you have not already begun the application process, please begin soon. If you need information about colleges, please see your guidance counselor. It is recommended that students apply by November 1st, in order to be considered for Early Admissions/Decision. While colleges will accept applications later, it is encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Applications may be completed on-line directly through the university or via the Commonapp.  Please pay attention to portions of your college applications that may require a counselor and/or teacher recommendation section.  If this is required, please ensure you are providing your counselor or teacher with 2 weeks notification.

Transcripts and test scores will need to be sent for all applications.
Transcripts can be sent via parchment.com as well as notifying your counselor.
ACT/SAT Test scores - Please pay attention to colleges that specify "Test scores must be sent via the testing center".  That means you must forward them directly from the ACT/SAT website.
