Technology - Chromebook Distribution
If you need a Chromebook no matter how you answered the survey we will be passing them out according to the schedule below. You do not need to call or email Computer Services to receive a Chromebook.
PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU COME!
- You must bring your ID with you when you come to pickup your child's chromebook. We need to see an ID of a person that is a Primary or Emergency Contact of the child to issue the chromebook. If available, please also bring the student's ID to speed up the distribution process.
- If you are a GSRP Student at Lathers, please do not pickup a device yet.
- If you are a High School Student enrolled in Graphic Communications or Engineering please do not pickup a device yet, check your school email.
- Don't forget a face mask!
The following is the schedule for Chromebook pickup for any of our families that will require a device for online learning. The schedule will be over 3 days in alphabetical order. We encourage you to pick up devices as soon as possible. Please make note of your Group, along with the days and times you can pick up the device(s).
If your last name begins with A through the letter I, your scheduled days and times are as follows.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Wednesday, September 2, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Thursday, September 3, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
If your last name begins with J through the letter Q your scheduled days and times are as follows.
Tuesday, September 1, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Wednesday, September 2, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Thursday, September 3, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
If your last name begins with R through the letter Z your scheduled days and times are as follows.
Tuesday, September 1, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday, September 2, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Thursday, September 3, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
If you could not pick up the Chromebook on any of the scheduled days/times we will be able to provide you a Chromebook on Friday, September 4, between the hours of 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

- Enter via the Staff Parking lot, follow the sign until you you see the "Chromebook Pickup" sign. View attached map.

Can't Access Your School District Email?
Here is a guide to accessing your student's account
- The email should be FirstnameLastname@gardencityschools.com (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org), they're some exceptions to this, if you cannot login, please contact your child's teacher.
- If your child attends Lathers Kindergarten or Memorial > ask your child's teacher.
- If your child attends Douglas or Farmington > the password is the last 4 digits of there Student ID Number.
- All other students should know their password, as they were requested to change it when they enter Middle School.
If your password is not working, please email email@example.com with your child's first & last name and their grade, we will reset the password and respond within 24 hours.
I do not know the email or password to login to this Chromebook? Please check with your child's teacher to receive your child's login and password. ONLY Garden City Schools accounts can be used to sign into the device.
I do not have WiFi at home, what do we do? Please wait for an email from our Technology Department, we will try and aid you in any way possible. Please see our ¨Free and Low Cost Internet Options" page to the left.
