Please report all broken or damaged devices as soon as possible! If you student needs a replacement device to continue schooling, please email computerservices@gardencityschools.com and include your Confirmation Number in the email if you remember it to speed up service.

Chromebook Distribution
We hope that your families are doing well and would like to thank everyone for making our chromebook distribution center run so smoothly, we appreciate all of you! In just about 5 days, we were able to distribute over 1300 devices to families and students in need of a device to participate in Online Learning to complete the school year. At this time, we are closing the Device Request Form to return our focus to the HelpDesk (hours above) so we can support our Parents & Staff learning from home! We do understand there are still some request for a device, these request will be on a case-by-case basis and may be requested via phone at (734) 762-8380 (hours above).

Can't Access Your School District Email?
Here is a guide to accessing your student's account
Email Address:
  • The email should be FirstnameLastname@gardencityschools.com (i.e. zacharyking@gardencityschools.com), they're some exceptions to this, if you cannot login, please contact your child's teacher.
Password:
  • If your child attends Lathers Kindergarten or Memorial > ask your child's teacher.
  • If your child attends Douglas or Farmington > the password is the last 4 digits of there Student ID Number.
  • All other students should know their password, as they were requested to change it when they enter Middle School.
Please check with your child's teacher to receive your child's email address and initial password.
If your password is not working, please email computerservices@gardencityschools.com with your child's first & last name and their grade, we will reset the password and respond within 24 hours.


FAQ:

Can my children share this device? Yes, the Chromebook can be used by any Garden City Student within the household.

When do we turn this device in? Can we turn it in if we purchase our own device? For the safety of everyone, we are not accepting returns at this time (except damaged devices). We will notify families via email the return process mid-summer.

I do not know the email or password to login to this Chromebook? Please check with your child's teacher to receive your child's login and password. ONLY Garden City Schools accounts can be used to sign into the device.

There was only one place to fill out my child's information, but I have more than one child. We only need one child's information for the purpose of this form. We can use our Student Information Database to see your other children.

When do I pick up my Chromebook? You will receive an email from the Technology Department with your confirmation number and instructions on how to pick up your device. Please wait for that email.

We have several children in our household, can we get more than one device? Based on your response of number of students, and overall request from other families, we will try our best to provide the technology required for your household, but please remember we only a limited number of devices to lend out. We have a formula that decides how many devices each family is slotted to have. This formula coincides with the schedules released from each school.

I do not have WiFi at home, what do we do? Please wait for an email from our Technology Department, we will try and aid you in any way possible. Please see our ¨Free and Low Cost Internet Options" page to the left.
